Instagram, which holds a community of more than 600 million accounts allows users to upload pictures, stories and videos either publicly or privately. The photo-sharing app can be seen as a source of inspiration to some and people tend to discover brands and businesses on Instagram. Using Instagram for business helps brands and companies to expand awareness, grab potential customers’ interest, increase sales and most importantly, build trust between brands and customers.

According to officials, over 5 million businesses worldwide use Instagram advertising to tell their business stories and inspire others with their visual posts. Statistics show that over 400 million Instagrammers worldwide use Instagram every day and 80 percent of such Instagrammers follow at least a brand or business on Instagram.

Lester Boey is an industry practitioner, strategist, business consultant and trainer for local and international clients – including 3M Shanghai (China), Malaysia technology and business start-ups such as BuzzElement and Tsunago. In the past, Lester co-founded Japan PR Agency that offers public relations (PR), digital marketing strategies and training for numerous Japanese companies in Singapore like Manekineko – one of Japan’s largest karaoke chains.

Working over 10 years in branding and marketing, Lester leverages his extensive brand building experience. He also has a powerful understanding of customers’ behavior, digital marketing techniques, effective training and solutions experience to generate many brands, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

He achieved the Professional Singapore Certified Management Consultant (PSCMC) status from TUV SUD PSB and the Spring-recognised certification acknowledges his adequate know-how, competence, professional and ethical conduct to provide consultancy services, in accordance to the TR 43:2015.


Training Assistant’s Profile

Susan Xu is a social media expert for WeChat, WeiBo and QQ. She had previously led a team of online marketers to setup, supervise and manage several brands on China’s major e-commerce platforms such as Tmall.com and JD.com. With almost 6 years of experience on dealing with Chinese social media and e-commerce, Susan is able to help trainers to administer, organize, and conduct training modules on WeChat hands-on activities, practice techniques and case studies.
